While we were in <strike>shifting</strike>, er <strike>moving</strike> i mean house hopping, When we rested at night I had my sewing machine packed, but I felt the urge to sew... so I was <strike>snooping</strike>.. reading my favorite blogs I fell in love with these hexies. I gave it a go...

We have had to move house.. you know the fun of packing, cleaning, shifting, storing a heap of "stuff" we (I) have collected (fabric) over the years.
We live on the farm and the farm comes with the house etc.. the new manager wanted the house we were in, so ok, we had to move. Now they have hired a new worker, so we have to move out of this house for him and his family. Now we have to move house again!

Just had a look at a house we are able to stay for a couple weeks..smells highly of cat p*ss. I am not happy with this house. But what to do..

If only we had our own house!
Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16104176653001009918noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192666704613833053.post-57401266216917112292011-05-10T19:56:00.001-07:002011-05-10T19:56:12.133-07:00I am so depressed..
I was trying so hard to find us a place to rent, my partner now says no to wait till we have shifted. I feel I have lost all hope and just want to break down and cry..

Going to be living with his son for awhile, I am not looking forward to that but what else can i do..

I give up..
Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16104176653001009918noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192666704613833053.post-91477851719276609352011-05-09T23:14:00.001-07:002011-05-09T23:14:04.575-07:00I'm sorry...
For being such a stink blogger, in the middle of packing, we are shifting house. Why? Because the house we are in is for farm workers only and my man has had enough milking 600 plus cows after milking for 30 plus years. No one wants to see the mess, but if I have time I will post some messy photos tomorrow :P

How is everyone? Is anyone reading this at all?
Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16104176653001009918noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192666704613833053.post-28239297130160473302011-04-11T21:05:00.000-07:002011-04-11T21:05:19.746-07:00I cannot believe..
How lazy and ill I have been. Well if you dont know I suffer with depression and many days I get tired so easily its stupid! I want to sew and make quilts but I do not have the energy I just want to sleep, lazy huh!?
I went to my monthly quilt club in Whangarei (New Zealand in case you don't know where or what Whangarei is) I became a member and very proud of it. These ladies are so golly gosh friendly and very helpful! We had a silent auction (we quietly bid for the books we would like to win and end of meeting the winners are announced) Well I won 2 books!

Do you know how happy this made me?? I love puppies and kittens I had to bid a couple times, how dare they bid against me (just kidding) ;)
I love this club, they have made me feel at home from the very first day I attended to see what this group was like. I could not wait to join as these ladies are so very friendly I cannot believe it! I am a proud member of the Whangarei Quilt Club of New Zealand!!

Some of the ladies had "Show and tell", this time I took my camera! Take a look at these master pieces!!..
These ladies are very talented!!

Last but not least, you are aware of Pam Bono and her beautiful patterns? She has a new website and has her own club too. From the club this is what I made...

This is ment to be a 12 1/2 inch block but mine came out 12-1/2 x 11-1/2... I had to unpick the bonnent and body pieces as they were not lined around the neck..hence why I lost an inch..maybe I measured wrong or missed something? *shrugs* Has anyone else tried it? Please let me know?

I managed to drive myself to the doctor and found out i had a nasty case of strep throat. I could not swallow.
I have to say it was murder to swallow. I had the most lovelyist doctor there is. She was very gentle and caring. I know all doctors are, but this lady was the friendlyist I have even been treated by. She even asked me if I wanted my medication in liquid form... I darn near cried when she asked me this, I nodded with puppy dog eye filled with tears on my face. She even offered me n ice cold water drink as she knew I was very thirsty.
4 days no sewing. Mind you I have not been well enough to do anything till today. I cannot wait when I am 100% better again. The smallest job is very draining, one would not think so as it is your throat, but I had aches all over my body and could barely move. We seem to think I caught this from the quilting class as before then I was fine. It was still a fun day sewing with everyone tho..
Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16104176653001009918noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192666704613833053.post-21084365572949530922011-03-24T21:50:00.000-07:002011-03-24T22:01:22.970-07:00Class day and vent...
Was yesturday, but was too tired to post, so left it for today. Good news and bad news.

What do you want first?

Bad news first huh? Okay.... Bad news is..with all this stress happening on the farm..(will get to that) I forgot to pay for my quarter inch foot and folded my class instructions needed for that class with the quarter inch foot and put them in my bag. When it came to class day she was right in my face accusing me of stealing saying how hurt she was after all they did for me and how bad the store is doing right now etc. I was very happy to pay for it and did straight away. I am no theif it was completely by accident. Then for 2 days I was looking for my 5 inch tumbler template..just happened to look up and there it was pinned to my cork board. I had forgotton I put it there!

Good news.. I had an awesome time at oour quilt class. Rhonda Chandler from Australia (I think) that is a wholesaler/quilter for Floriani Embroidery was here to promote their product and held some classes. I went to her Aplique Sampler class. Here is her finished project...

Not much huh? Was an all day class too. 9.30am to 3pm. We did however made samples for our own sample book of Floirani product line, like embrodery samples like a free standing butterfly on wet and gone. A redwork flower on linen and a anchor and rope on linen. I started the applique but then wanted to do the items the other ladies were doing as I was the only one making the applique wall hanging and felt out of sorts.

Rhonda is the lovely lady on the far right hand side wearing a pretty purple shirt and skirt. I am the one taking the photo so you cannot see how fugly I is :P

But here is my sewing/embroidery machine sewing the butteryfly..

You can see a couple of the flowers ready and waiting for the butterfly to finish. But then it was time to come home.

Was a lovely day other then being accused of theifting.

i forgot to say why it was a stressful day. My stepson has been fired from his farm managers job. Afew days later his boss which is also his uncle, had him by the throat and darn near choked him! Thank goodness he filed a report incase something else happens. We are thinking of leaving too, will be trying hard to pay off our bills and credit cards then we are going to fudge off before anything more happens. We feel The boss has lost his marbles. I guess that is no excuse to forget to pay for the 1/4 inch foot, but everyone was busy chatting and no one was going to serve me and was talking about the class and getting some prices on batting. But I did pay for the foot and told her I had full intention of paying. I will be extra careful when there and make sure no one is busy so I can pay and not be accused again. I should have been more careful.
Anniehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16104176653001009918noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192666704613833053.post-48866666445817877792011-03-21T22:05:00.000-07:002011-03-24T21:55:41.995-07:00Dear Jane..
I have just recieved my first months fabric for the first 3 blocks for Dear Jane BOM - Rainbow.
